The people of the Algonquin Nation Kijicho Manito are a proud and progressive people with a rich cultural heritage.  They belong to the Bear Clan and are members of the Madauskarini Band. The present day community is within the area of North Hastings County in the Province of Ontario.  These people have lived in the area since time immemorial but have willingly adapted to the changes that were brought along by European settlers.
