Working Towards Vision

I am finally doing something I should have taken the time to do a few months ago…but it seemed every time I tried to post this, something interrupted my flow of words…so I am taking some quiet time on this lovely Saturday afternoon (away from the office) to give this post the time it deserves 🙂

As most are aware BCT offices moved to our new home on Flint Ave. earlier this year. This move, unbelievably, has been 10 + years in the making! A dream becomes a vision, and then the vision becomes something you work towards, followed by hard work and dedication to maintain. With this move comes a mindset for strategic growth as we strive to build upon over 20 years of experience providing transportation in our wonderful communities. There will be more to come on this, and over the next few months, we will lay out our plan for all to see and we will give each of you the opportunity to tell us what you want us to be.

For now, I want to take this moment to introduce a new member to our team who will play a key role towards sustainability and growth in a new role we created, “Hospitality and Events Coordinator”.

I would like to officially (and finally) welcome Lucille Kyle to the BCT team! I am absolutely certain that if you don’t know her personally, you know of her 🙂

She has recently concluded an outstanding and lengthy term with Hastings and Prince Edwards District School Board, serving as a trustee since 2010, and then its Board Chair since 2016. She also comes to us with years of experience in creating unique and one of a kind special events utilizing her natural…enviable….gifts and talents that truly make her designs stand out from the rest. Her connection to the youth through music, her ability to open her doors to so many, has connected her to our community in a very special way.

In the short time she has been with us, she has embraced her new role with BCT, taking on the challenge of decorating our new rental space, the “Birch Room”, our community space which we are now offering up for daily rentals; spearheading our “Charcuterie Board” fundraiser which starts Dec. 1st; and in the new year we will have some exciting news to share with all of you!

Visually she has made our office space just an incredible welcoming place to be, one that reflects the heart of everyone that works here❤️

In this picture I’m posting, she is standing by a mural that she painted this past summer, we call it our “Maggie Wall” (more to come on that later), but I think it captures all the “wonderful” that we know she will bring to the table. We are excited and so happy to have her here!

On behalf of the Board and staff, welcome Lucille!

We know we are the lucky ones.🥰
